Kentucky's Residential Code sets a 24-inch minimum frost protection depth for Fayette County, not the 15-inch figure often quoted. For a cantilevered gate post, we go to 36–48 inches with a bell-shaped base.
Fence and gate height limits
Fayette County's side and rear yard limit is 8 feet, not 6. Front yard gates are capped at 4 feet. We confirm the right number for your zone before we design.
Automation safety
Automated gates need at least 2 independent entrapment protection devices under UL 325, and no unguarded gap between 4 and 16 inches under ASTM F2200. We do not treat these as optional.
